SDC76: It's a Wrap

Jo is our hostess of this week's challenge and here is what she has challenged everyone with:

"It's at this time of year when I always think ' Oh it's ages until December 25th, no panic' and before I know it I am sitting surrounded by wrapping paper, ribbon and tags on the 24th promising myself I shall plan ahead next year and be more organised. So here I am, planning ahead with this week's theme of making unique wrapping, tags and gift packaging using stamps. Whether it's a simple single image stamped onto a plain sheet of paper finished off with jazzy trimmings, an intricate tag, a wonderful gift box or even stamping your own ribbon, give it a try and see what a difference it makes transforming (very cheaply!) the smallest most basic of gifts into a little work of art."

Sue:
Since she already uses paint a lot, she challenged herself more by incorporating PAINTBRUSHES into her project. So awesome!

Sam:
Love the funky orange polka dots on this one - they suit Gibi well!

The background she created with acrylics is gorgeous, and this fun design makes me want to dance.

SDC75: Paint

Happy Hump Day!  Today Libby is our hostess and here's what she's challenging us with:

"Ever since I can remember I've been inspired by my Gramma Betty. She is an amazing artist. I grew up watching her paint sets for our local community theater group she co-founded, painting make-up onto the faces of the actors, painting beautiful paintings with her oils and painting gorgeous cheeseboxes with her acrylics. With a paintbrush in her hand, there's nothing she can't do!

I chose the theme for this week's challenge in honor of my amazing grandmother. She can paint with any medium, and so can you - acrylics, watercolors, daubers, whatever your little heart desires. Just use same sort of PAINT on your project this week!"

Wishing all of your here in the US or those celebrating, a Happy Thanksgiving.

SDC74: Nature

Nellie is our hostess today and here is what she has challenged our players with:

I love all things nature! Right now it’s autumn here and I think nature is at it’s best this time of the year. All those stunning colors, falling leaves, mushrooms and a very special atmosphere and smell.

So I chose “Nature” as theme for this week’s challenge. Think flowers, trees, bugs, bees, birds, mushrooms, leaves or any thing else you want to use that reflects. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with. So have fun stamping and show us!

Please read ALL RULES on the linkz page before linking your creation.

SDC73: Hanging Decorations

Samantha is our hostess this week and she has a fun challenge for us:

"I'm a firm believer that everyone should enjoy art and the things we create shouldn't be hidden away in draws or boxes but shown and shared with everyone, and what better way than to embellish our homes than to make a decorative hanging using our Stampotique stamps? So your challenge for this week is to make a hanging decoration for your home, I can't wait to see your creations! The most important thing is to have fun!"

Please link DIRECTLY to your creation, not to your blog and include the challenge # behind your name (any not linking directly to your creation AND include the challenge # will be deleted and not eligible for prize).  We ask that if you have comment verification turned on, that you would consider turning this on and doing comment moderation instead.

Please use the link in the left sidebar to link up your challenge showing us your "Hanging Decorations".

**Change to Stampotique submission rules:  You will now have until the first challenge of the following month to submit your entries-we will only have one Inlinkz per month (at left sidebar of blog); so today marks the start of the challenges for November and it will run through the close of our last challenge for November on December 4, 2012 at noon ET**
